Who is the richest person in the world in 2013?

Who is the richest person in the world? With the publication of the 25th edition of the Times Rich List this weekend we’ll know for certain.

Inherited wealth or “Old” money seems to reign supreme from previous lists such a the Queen of England who made it to Number 1 in 1989 with a wealth of £5.2 Billion – her occupation or sphere of influence – well “Landowner” , not surprising really as she already owns a lot of the world. – It would be interesting to find out how much of this wealth revolved around her personal jewel collection purported to be the largest in the world.

2nd in 1989 was the Duke of Westminster valued at £3.2 Billion pounds of GBP. Interestingly his occupation “Landowner” – which means between them they could probably resolve the housing crisis in England over breakfast one day.

Foreign Money
Influx of the super rich into London, predominantly Russian Oil/India Business/Shareholders of Face book has meant he list changes from year to year. Expect to see many Oligarchs jostling for the Crown of Richest Person in the World on Sunday 21st of April.

One thing for certain will be that the amount of wealth required to sit st the top of the pile, will have risen dramatically from recent years – now who said 1% of the world owns 99% of its wealth?

RFID Chips – Retail Integration or Human Integration?

RFID chips are not a new technology yet have in fact been around for several years. RFID or Radio Frequency Identification tagging works by allowing a RFID Chip to talk to a localised network and exchange commands. This language or commands are executed using Radio Frequencies that alternate between each network. The beauty of RTFID Chips is that replace conventional barcode systems in fact RFID retail applications remain the driving force behind this emergent technology.

One of the driving forces against this integration of electrical signal and humanity are those concerned about how RFID impacts the position of privacy.

Amongst the many practical aspects of RFID chip technology includes customizable bespoke asset control, manufacturing events, complex supply chain management, retail, electronic and virtual payment applications, as well as pre-programmed and manual  security access systems

The implementation of Radio Frequency Identification has been widely accepted for use in canine management. The ability to track dogs implanted with a monitored chip has widely reassured owners of the location of their beloved canine friends. Yet how would say an animal respond to changes in radio frequency (remember RFID technology acts as a receiver of external controllable frequencies) by unknown or unwanted forces?

How society will be affected by RFID chip technology and potential ethical concerns remains to be seen. It’s full integration remains a uncertainty.

Thatcher Dead - Should we have a sing song ?

Surprised to hear how the UK Government and broadcasting authorities decided to remove/censor a popular song Ding Dong the Witch is Dead in retaliation for the death of Margaret Thatcher.

2 Issues have caused concerns from the point of view of the British public to the death of Margaret Thatcher

1) She referred to the UK Government as "My Government" - not true as it belongs to the queen of England Queen Elizabeth the 2nd.
2) The funeral was paid for by the tax payer at a cost of £10 million pounds.

Still rest in peace.
